I have varied experience in the higher echelons of the public sector banking system and gained experience in all banking activities and predominantly in merchant banking, treasury & investments and foreign exchange related transactions. My interaction through the banking system has given me a role in the implementation of all economic and fiscal policies of the Government in the banking sector.

 With 33 years of experience behind me and having reached the pinnacle of my career as the CEO of one of the largest public sector banks through a highly competitive national selection process, I am confident that I should be able to handle equally challenging tasks in the international sphere. Ex. Chairman & Managing Director, Syndicate Bank, a leading nationalized Bank founded in October 1925.

At the time of assuming charge the Bank was exhibiting incipient weaknesses in administration, decision making process, policy initiatives, morale of the of the staff, in performance and loss of market share. A turn around strategy brought about the required transformation in the landscape of the Bank, which is on a higher growth path now.
